Abstract
Cd1-xMnxS diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) nanoparticles of crysta llite size ranging from 20 to 300 Angstrom and x from 0 to 0.65 have b een chemically synthesized by using aqueous solution precipitation. Su bsequent characterization has been carried out by X-ray diffractometry and TEM measurements. Magnetic properties of DMS nanoparticles have b een measured with a SQUID magnetometer. A transition from a para-magne tic to a spin-glass state at a critical temperature T-f has been obser ved. The applied magnetic field dependence of T-f has also been measur ed.
