Abstract
It was found that the polynuclear phosphide complex of platinum [PPh2P t]n (n = 8-10) in RCOOR' solution, containing acids of the BF3, SbF5, CF3COOH, C2H5OCF(CF3)CF2OC2F4-SO3H type, catalyzes the isomerization o f methyl formate to acetic acid and the carbonylation of methyl acetat e to acetic anhydride at 20-25-degrees-C and 0.1 mPa (Ar or CO, respec tively).
