Ln. Storozheva et al., CONDENSATION PRODUCTS FORMED FROM AROMATIC-HYDROCARBONS ON MOLYBDENUM-CONTAINING CATALYSTS, Kinetics and catalysis, 32(4), 1991, pp. 905-908
An EPR spectroscopic and thermal analysis study has been made of Al/Mo
and Al/Co/Mo catalysts coked by 1- and 2-methylnaphthalenes (1-MN and
2-MN) at 450-600-degrees-C and 0.5 MPa H-2. It has been shown that th
e properties of the condensation products are determined to a signific
ant degree by the position of the methyl group in the original compoun
d. A possible mechanism for their formation has been discussed.
