Equatorial-axial interactions of ligands in solid nickel(II) complexes
have been studied. It was proved by theoretical analysis and statisti
cal methods that there exists an approximately linear correlation, R(a
) vs R(e), in solid isothiocyanate complexes with the chromophore [NiN
6], i.e. the mean interatomic distances in axial directions (R(a)) and
those in the equatorial plane (R(e)) are mutually dependent.
