Although the use of arbitration has become commonplace in the organiza
tional world, the ethical issues surrounding arbitration have never be
en fully explored. The paper reviews ethical issues in arbitration, pa
rticularly in terms of forensic bias parallels, that may affect decisi
on-making and make the arbitrator's decision questionable. Finally, th
e maintenance of fairness in the arbitration process, and the importan
ce of an ethically acceptable system of organizational justice are als
o discussed.
