Abstract
Trypanosoma cruzi epimastigotes treated with phosphomolybdic acid and the photographic developer Rodinal display bright kinetoplasts when un mounted smears are observed using low-magnification phase-contrast obj ectives. This simple method enables the rapid and accurate identificat ion of kinetoplasts in trypanosomes.
