The case described in this report visualises a circular to oval space-
occupying growth that is smoothly delineated against its environment,
of 1 x 1,5 cm size without any sign of invasive growth. MR proved adva
ntageous in such space-occupying growths that are close to the midline
, because the soft part contrast is superior and especially because of
the multiple imaging. Nevertheless, CT remains indicated in such proc
esses because calcifications show up more clearly, so that in some cas
es important additional information is supplied that helps in assessin
g the tumour status. Hence, before planned surgery is performed, both
MR and CT are mandatory as two methods that are complementary.
