PRINCIPLES AND ANALYTICAL USE OF ELECTROCATALYSIS ON CHEMICALLY MODIFIED ELECTRODES

The article surveys electrocatalytical behaviour of chemically modifie d electrodes; it contains 117 literature references. Mediators of elec tron transfer are mentioned as well as the fundamental theorerical mod el of the mediator charge transfer. The methods of modification of ele ctrode surface and the immobilization of the catalyst are described an d the possibilities of use and the prospects of electrocatalysis in th e preparation of analytical sensors are documented.
