Abstract
We report a case of segmental renal infarction due to a traumatic diss ecting hematoma of a renal artery branch. Some features of the cross-s ectional imaging studies were atypical of infarct and suggestive of tu mor. Renal arteriography demonstrated aneurysmal dilatation of an appr oximately 3-cm portion of a segmental renal artery, an uncommon but hi ghly suggestive finding of traumatic arteriopathy.
