Abstract
The structure of an electric utility communication concept which provi des services at application layer is described. Specific protocols are developed for application and presentation layer. Standardized ISO-pr otocols for both connection-oriented and connection-less communication are used on lower layers. A possible migration to full ISO compatibil ity is described.
