DYNAMIC-MODEL OF THE GEOTRAVERSE THROUGH THE DNIEPER-DONETS PALEORIFT, UKRAINIAN SHIELD, SOUTHERN CARPATHIANS

The importance of retrospective geodynamics in the integrated geologic al-geophysical investigation of the lithosphere is emphasized here. Th e principle of evolutionary series is proposed, based on the direct re lationship between deep-seated processes and their surface geological manifestations. It permits effective tracing, in time, of the interrel ated development of different stages of the tectonosphere. The princip le is applied to specific examples of tectonic structures of different type, the age and development of which encompass about 3 b.y. It demo nstrates that the principal reason for development of all these struct ures is rise from the mantle of deep, hot material with reduced densit y.
