Abstract
We describe a Soviet-made CCD system based on a liquid nitrogen cooled virtual-phase array. High-dispersion stellar spectra obtained at the 2.6-m Shain telescope are presented. The new system is more sensitive than the CCD-2000 system operating at the same telescope over the enti re spectral range from 3940 to 10830 A.
