Creep and recovery tests were performed with single canola kernels usi
ng spring apparatus in conjunction with a common universal testing mac
hine. An apparent modulus of elasticity and viscosity coefficients for
Maxwell and Kelvin model in series were determined. The test data wer
e compared with published data. The advantages of the spring apparatus
for measuring a creep and recovery behavior for single kernels were d
iscussed based on results obtained.
