Thin-layer drying rates of rapeseed were experimentally determined at
eight levels of drying air temperature, four in the conventional dryin
g temperature range of 50-93-degrees-C and four in the elevated temper
ature range of up to 200-degrees-C. A mathematical model of the form o
f Page's equation was developed. The model predicted the moisture rati
os well at the conventional as well as elevated drying temperatures.
