Abstract
A 23 year old man was admitted following a massive haematemesis. Dieul afoy's syndrome was diagnosed and the treatment was a partial proximal gastrectomy and pyloroplasty. The diagnosis and approach to surgical management of Dieulafoy's syndrome are discussed.
