Abstract
The result of the quadrupole Q(ns)1/2 calculation of the excited ns1/2 -state of the hydrogen atom is presented. It is shown that Q(ns)1/2 tu rns out to be a factor (n2 + 2)/3 larger than the ground-state quadrup ole moment Q1s1/2.
