Ae. Galashev et al., MOLECULAR-DYNAMICS STUDY OF INTERACTION BETWEEN OPPOSITELY CHARGED CLUSTERS OF AQUEOUS-ELECTROLYTES, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 33(2), 1997, pp. 175-180
Interaction of Na+(H2O)(n) and Cl-(H2O)(n) clusters is considered as a
process affecting heteromolecular nucleation in water vapor. Within t
he molecular dynamics model, evolution of a system of two oppositely c
harged clusters is examined. The dynamics, total energy, many-body eff
ects, and structure of three pairs of interacting clusters are studied
. The possibility for a pair of oppositely charged ions to stabilize i
n water vapor is discussed.
