Abstract
Bounds on the Yukawa couplings of the supersymmetric standard model wi th a guage singlet are derived under the assumption that the theory re mains perturbative up to energies of O(10(16) GeV). The resulting boun d on the mass of the lightest Higgs scalar is similar to its value in the minimal supersymmetric model.
