The magnetoelastic phase transitions were observed in MnRhAs1-xPx syst
em (space group <P(6)over bar 2m>) by X-ray measurements (80 K < T < 3
00 K). For x = 0.33 and x = 0.4 contents an abrupt change of both latt
ice parameters and of the elementary cell volume at the metamagnetic t
ransition was detected. The Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker electronic structur
e calculations performed for MnRhP compound show significant variation
s of densities of states at the Fermi level, while changing lattice da
ta. The Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker-coherent potential approximation studie
s of disordered MnRhAs1-xPx system (z = 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) were done at th
e ferromagnetic region. From our calculations we observe moving of ban
ds near E(F), while substituting with isoelectronic metalloid, likely
as while changing the crystal data in MnRhP.
