Abstract
A fluviatile sequence is described from the Dogger (Bathonian) of Msem rir (Central High Atlas, Morocco). The base comprises laminites with f ine clouds of galena and some zinc minerals, while the rest of the pro file consists of point bars with conglomerates. Due to their limitatio n on lower energy levels, the sulphide minerals are interpreted as bio logical metal accumulations of bacterial metabolic processes.
