Abstract
New peroxycarboxylic and peroxyacetic acids have been tested for the d estruction of some organophosphorus compounds and mustards. The peroxy acids used have monocyclic, bicyclic or tricyclic structures. These ar e very reactive against paraoxon or HD and the addition of certain sur factants enhances the reaction rate. Very short half-live times are ob tained with these compounds.
