Abstract
It has become increasingly apparent that the administration of cytotox ic drugs or hormones may be associated with life-threatening vascular episodes. We report on seven women and one man who developed cerebrova scular accident (CVA) during or immediately after the administration o f several hormonochemotherapeutic regimens. No patient died from the s troke. Five patients made a complete recovery; one showed remarkable i mprovement, and two. slight improvement. Several explanations for CVA were proposed, but the pathophysiological basis of the relationship be tween the arterial occlusive complication and hormonochemotherapy is u nclear.
