Abstract
Magnetism of Y2Ni7 and YNi3 is studied. Linear and parallel M2-vs-H/M plots and large Rhodes-Wohlfarth ratios are obtained, confirming itine rant electron weak ferromagnetism. Analysis of magnetization data usin g the self-consistent renormalization theory of Takahashi shows the va lidity of his theory and the importance of spin fluctuation in the pre sent compounds.
