Abstract
Biogenic sedimentation history in the Indian Ocean has been restored u sing distribution charts of C(org), absolute C(org) masses, biogenic S iO2, CaCO3 which were constructed for 15 age cuts - Neocomian to late Pliocene. Introduction of the new criteria - partial sedimentation int ensity allows us to subdivide biogenic sedimentation history into thre e stages based on the quantitative ground. The data obtained have been compared with paleotemperatures, ocean surface fluctuations, sediment ation rates and some other parameters.
