Abstract
We report experimental evidence of a new property of turbulent thermal convection. We show that the spectra of temperature fluctuations obta ined from local and averaged measurements coincide. This new result is theoretically demonstrated by using only the hypothesis of isotropy o f the turbulence field and it could be applied to the transport of pas sive scalars in any turbulent flow.
