Described for the first time about thirty years ago, the Rett syndrome was since that time the subject of a vast number of scientific works but its pathogenesis remains puzzling. Rett syndrome has been classifi ed by the, WHO among rite pervasive developmental disorders. Autistic disorder represents one of the main differential diagnosis of the init ial clinical stages.
