Ap. Shvedchikov et al., REMOVAL OF STYRENE VAPOR FROM ATMOSPHERIC AIR USING A PULSED CORONA DISCHARGE AND UV-IRRADIATION, High energy chemistry, 26(5), 1992, pp. 364-367
We have investigated processes for removal of styrene vapor from atmos
pheric air (volume content 0.007-0.06%) upon exposure to UV radiation
and for combined action of UV radiation and dc and pulsed corona disch
arges. We have studied the dependence of the degree of purification on
various parameters (flow rate, temperature, composition, pulse repeti
tion frequency). We have shown that the purification rate increases wh
en we combine UV radiation with the discharge. We consider a possible
mechanism for the purification process.
