Pr. Delaere et al., USE OF A COMPOSITE FASCIAL CARRIER FOR LARYNGOTRACHEAL RECONSTRUCTION, The Annals of otology, rhinology & laryngology, 106(3), 1997, pp. 175-181
A vascularized fascia flap may be used as a vascular carrier for free
mucosal and cartilage grafts. This composite reconstruction technique
has been performed in clinical situations with complex laryngeal or tr
acheal defects. This paper describes the technique and the rationale f
or applying this concept to some particular laryngotracheal defects. M
orphologic and histologic aspects of this composite reconstruction tec
hnique using a transferable recipient bed are discussed.
