Abstract
Heat treatment is capable of considerable improvement in hardness and wear resistance of nickel-boron alloy. The as-plated Ni-B alloy coatin g is noncrystalline. During heat treatment, its structure begins conve rting to crystalline and nickel crystal is precipitated at 250-degrees -C. Ni3B is precipitated at 300-degrees-C.
