Abstract
We derive equations for the light scattered from an isolated cylinder and an isolated sphere illuminated by two coherent plane waves and stu dy the resulting resonances. By varying the relative phases and the an gle between the two coherent beams we demonstrate how specific resonan ces may be enhanced or suppressed.
