A new commercial low-percent silver catalyst for methanol oxidation st
abilized by aluminosilicate is examined using electron microscopy, sma
ll angle X-ray scattering, X-ray diffraction and electronic diffuse re
flectance spectroscopy. The catalyst proved to be a model for the stat
e of silver clusters to be studied by various physical methods.
