Abstract
Based on type specimens and cultures from an isolate of Tipula paludos a in Germany, Rhabditis tipulae is redescribed for the first time. Som e errors of the original description are corrected. The first male was found. The species is placed in the Dolichura-group within the subgen us Oscheius. Some biological observations are reported. The associatio n is a further example of necromeny.
