Abstract
The zero-field-cooled magnetization relaxation has been studied over w ide temperature and field ranges on iron-doped YBa2Cu3O7-y single crys tals. The relationship between the twin boundary density, which depend s on the iron composition, and the pinning strength of the flux lines is determined systematically. For magnetic fields up to 1 T the induct ive critical current density decreases as the iron composition increas es. The Bean critical state model and the Anderson-Kim thermally activ ated flux-creep model are utilized to analyze and interpret the experi mental results.
