Md. Lan et al., A COMPARATIVE-STUDY OF MAGNETIC-RELAXATION IN YBA2CU3-XFEXO7-Y SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Applied physics. A, Solids and surfaces, 56(4), 1993, pp. 381-384
The zero-field-cooled magnetization relaxation has been studied over w
ide temperature and field ranges on iron-doped YBa2Cu3O7-y single crys
tals. The relationship between the twin boundary density, which depend
s on the iron composition, and the pinning strength of the flux lines
is determined systematically. For magnetic fields up to 1 T the induct
ive critical current density decreases as the iron composition increas
es. The Bean critical state model and the Anderson-Kim thermally activ
ated flux-creep model are utilized to analyze and interpret the experi
mental results.
