Abstract
The Association for Practitioners in Infection Control, Inc. (APIC) is a multidisciplinary organization of over 9000 health care professiona ls who practice institutional epidemiology in the form of infection co ntrol and quality iniprovement within a variety of settings. As a nati onal leader in prevention and control of infections, APIC supports eff orts to reduce and eliminate device-mediated blood-borne infections.
