Abstract
Liver transplantation is a valid treatment in chronic viral B and C he patitis. But disease recurrence is very frequent in HBV hepatitis afte r the procedure, and its prevention and treatment are unresolved probl ems. Hepatitis C recurrence in the graft seems also to be common, and further studies of its pathobiology are needed.
