C-13 NMR signals were assigned for 18 methyl 5beta-cholenoates with a
double bond in ring A, B, C, or D (DELTA2, DELTA3, DELTA5, DELTA6, DEL
TA7 DELTA8(14), DELTA9(11), DELTA11 or DELTA14). The double bond subst
ituent effects on the C-13 NMR chemical shifts of the parent 5beta-cho
lenoates were clarified.
