SEPARATION OF CARDIAC-GLYCOSIDES BY MICELLAR ELECTROKINETIC CAPILLARYELECTROPHORESIS

The separation of mixtures of primary and secondary cardiac glycosides by micellar electrokinetic capillary electrophoresis modified by cycl odextrins, urea and sodium cholate proved to be suitable for the deter mination of these hydrophobic compounds. It was possible to distinguis h the two anomeric cardenolides glucodigifucoside and glucodigiglucome thyloside with all three buffer systems. Electropherograms of crude pl ant cell extracts from Digitalis lanata were obtained with this method .
