Abstract
A new chiral ligand, meso-tetrafenchylidenylmethylporphyrin, as well a s the corresponding manganese(III)porphyrin have been synthesized. The first results on the catalytic asymetric epoxidation of styrenes and of unfunctionalized aliphatic alkenes, using sodium hypochlorite as ox ygen source, are reported.
