A new simplified method of the synthesis for Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O supercon
ductor was found through a convensional solid-state reaction. Samples
have been prepared by mixing powders of Bi2O3, PbO, SrCO3, CaCO3 and C
uO and short-term ((5 + 5) h) sintering at 1133 K. The samples have 91
% high T(c) 2223 phase in volume fraction and exhibit the zero resista
nce temperature of 105 K in the superconducting transition. It is stre
ssed that our synthesis method offers high quality sample in high spee
d with great advantage on low cost.
