Raman scattering has been measured in InAs1-xSbx alloys (0 less than o
r equal to x less than or equal to 1) and an InAs0.58Sb0.42/InSb strai
ned layer superlattice under hydrostatic pressures up to tile phase tr
ansition. The pressure coefficient of tile Raman frequency (partial de
rivative w/partial derivative p) of the InAs-like LO mode in InAs1-xSb
x alloys increases with increasing composition x, while that of the In
Sb-like LO mode is almost constant above x = 0.5. The phase transition
pressure of InAs1-xSbx alloys decreases almost linearly with composit
ion. On the other hand, both component layers of an InAs0.58Sb0.42/InS
b superlattice change phase simultaneously at a pressure which is the
mean of tile phase transition pressures for bulk InAs0.58Sb0.42 and In
Sb.
