Abstract
The results of studying air pollution from benz(a)pyrene, phenol, form aldehyde and metals during 1985-1989 are presented. A technique is des cribed for calculating the index of air pollution with several polluta nts, and the possibility of assessing benz(a)pyrene and metal emission s from the content of these pollutants on aerosol filters is shown. Th e effect of air pollution potential on atmospheric pollutant concentra tions is described.
