A paper electrophoretic method is described for the study of equilibri
a in mixed ligand [nitrilotriacetate (NTA)-penicillamine] complex syst
ems in solution. The stability constants of Zn(II)-NTA-penicillamine a
nd Cd(II)-NTA-penicillamine complexes were found to be 5.36 and 5.18 (
log K values), respectively, at mu = 0.1 and 35-degrees-C.
