Abstract
Taking advantage of the newly developed volume scattering model for MS T radar and the unique features of the Chung Li VHF radar, several nov el observational techniques have been developed and implemented. Techn iques such as oblique spaced antenna (OSA), the frequency domain analy sis of spaced antenna data, the full spectrum analysis (FSA) and the m ultifrequency frequency domain interferometer (FDI) will be discussed and experimental results will be presented. Potential applications of the new techniques to study the dynamics of the middle atmosphere will be discussed.
