R. Bateman, SIMPLE, STANDARDIZED METHODS FOR RECORDING DROPLET MEASUREMENTS AND ESTIMATION OF DEPOSITS FROM CONTROLLED DROPLET APPLICATIONS, Crop protection, 12(3), 1993, pp. 201-206
Computer-generated gauges are illustrated for rapid estimation of drop
let deposits sampled in the field. Appropriate droplet-size parameters
for relating droplet numbers and pesticide deposits are discussed wit
h special reference to the selection of a VMD/NMD ratio of 2 to charac
terize controlled droplet application (CDA) sprays. A computer program
is described that is capable of storing and comparing droplet data ob
tained from various measurement techniques and presenting spectra in a
volumetric rather than a diameter-based form.
