Abstract
The effect of doping with either In or Cd on the electrical and thermo electric properties of digenite (Cul S) is studied as a function of te mperature between 100 and 700 K. The results are discussed taking into account the relation between these properties and the crystal structu re of non-stoichiometric copper sulphides. It is found that the compos ition and the crystal structure of doped digenite samples are changed according to the amount of In or Cd. The digenite sample changes its c rystal structure to djurleite type at indium and cadmium content of 5 and 7 mol% and to chalcocite type at indium and cadmium content of 6 a nd 10 mol%, respectively.
