Abstract
Vanishing viscosity approximation is discussed for isotropic Keyfitz-K ranzer models with ball-shaped state space. The results describe an in stability of the zero dissipation limit for non-strictly hyperbolic sy stems of continuum mechanics such as (non-linear) magnetohydrodynamics and isotropic elasticity.
