Intradiffusion coefficients for tritiated water ((HHO))-H-3 and perchl
orate ion ((CLO4-))-C-36 were measured in perchloric acid solutions. A
t 5-degrees-C the diffusion coefficient measured for the tritiated spe
cies increases lo a maximum near 1.3 mol-dm-3. The data at 25-degrees-
C have been used to calculate distinct diffusion coefficients, D(ij)d.
As a precursor for those calculations, new estimates were made of the
Onsager phenomenological coefficients, l(ij). The l(ij) and D(ij)d ar
e similar to the respective coefficients in hydrochloric acid solution
s.
