P. Colangelo et al., SCATTERING FUNCTION FOR A MODEL OF INTERACTING SURFACES, Physical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 47(1), 1993, pp. 411-418
The two-point correlation function of an ensemble of interacting close
d self-avoiding surfaces on a cubic lattice is analyzed in the disorde
red phase, which corresponds to the paramagnetic region in a related s
pin formulation. Mean-field theory and Monte Carlo simulations predict
the existence of a disorder line which corresponds to a transition fr
om an exponential decay to an oscillatory damped behavior of the two-p
oint correlation function. The relevance of the results for the descri
ption of amphiphilic systems in a microemulsion phase is discussed. Th
e scattering function is also calculated for a bicontinuous phase coex
isting with the paramagnetic phase.
