Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), a.c. electrical conductivity
and infrared spectroscopic measurements on crystalline Rb4H2(SeO4)3 ha
ve been performed. A large endothermic peak in the DSC at 377 K suppor
ted by a sudden jump in the conductivity plot, confirms the presence o
f a phase transition at this temperature. Infrared spectra at various
temperatures show a change in the internal mode frequencies on heating
