S. Asbrink et al., A HIGH-PRESSURE X-RAY-DIFFRACTION STUDY OF A PHASE-TRANSITION IN KMNF3, Journal of physics and chemistry of solids, 54(4), 1993, pp. 507-511
Unit-cell parameters of KMnF3 single crystals have been measured by X-
ray diffraction under hydrostatic pressure up to 9.5 GPa in a diamond-
anvil cell. A cubic/tetragonal structural phase transition has been ob
served at P(c) = 3.1 GPa. The tetragonal phase was stable to the upper
limit of the measured pressure range (P = 10.0 GPa) and a linear pres
sure dependence of the macroscopic spontaneous strain epsilon(s) above
P(c) has been shown. The linear and volume compressibilities of both
phases have been calculated.
